Think, pair and share is a student instructional strategy that is a really inclusive way to engage all students. Rather than having a classroom wide discussion the instructor sets up smaller groups with specific question about the topic to discuss. The process provides quieter and more reserved students an opportunity to share their perspectives, ideas and knowledge with a smaller group. This classroom strategy has real benefits for developing teamwork, trust and confidence. All great elements for better learning.
Andrea McKenze from the PIDP 3250 class does an excellent job of describing the Think Pair and Share process below.
